Studio Plan

This suite of models is used for integrated resource planning (E&G production, transmission grid and gas pipeline network) under uncertainty (load, fuel cost and hydrological scenarios, among others).

NetPlan - an integrated computational environment for transmission network analysis and expansion planning. NetPlan has been used in power transmission expansion studies with different systems, such as: Brazil, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Greece.

OptGen - planning of generation capacity, interconnections and gas pipelines. OptGen has been used for expansion planning studies in several countries in South/Central America and the Balkans.

MonaLisa - a nonlinear optimization model that calculates the firm energy of a set of hydro plants. The firm energies are used for capacity payments and/or to assess energy production capacity in predominantly hydro countries such as Colombia, Chile, Peru and Brazil.

HERA - a computational model that estimates the available hydropower of a watershed that is feasible to be developed. The model determines the optimum location and installed capacity of the hydro projects.

GABRIEL - a computation model for the forecasting and evaluation of hydrologic inflows.
